Sarel Cilliers hosted a bumper rugby day on Saturday, featuring schools from four provinces: KZN, Gauteng, Free State and Mpumalanga.
Rugby was played on two fields to ensure there was constant action from 8am to 4pm.
Sarel Cilliers played Welkom in the main game, but proved too strong for the Free Staters, overwhelming them 66-3.
There is now some merit in the decision of the organisers of a rugby day in Wartburg to match the Glencoe school against the powerful Maritzburg College in two weeks’ time.
