Grassy Glencoe’ has become a sore sight for residents as well as those ‘just passing through’. Long unruly grass in certain areas of Glencoe is fast becoming a big problem – lack of maintenance of grass not only makes the town look untidy and unkempt, but also leaves residents fearing for their safety.
Residents believe the lengthy grass could serve as a ‘hide-out’ for criminals, or allow for criminal activity to take place. When questioned regarding the lack of lawn services, a spokesperson from the Parks and Gardens Department told the Courier that the grass will be cut on Thursday, February 13. More than a week later, very little has been done. Residents can only hope their pleas will be heard, and that the long unruly grass will soon be a thing of the past.
