Melusi Christian Community is opening their newly-renovated and -restored church building from 8:30am on March 9.
A team from the partner church, History Makers Church, Bendigo, Australia, is here to help with the completion of the building and to join in this wonderful celebration of God’s goodness. “We thank the Lord that He has enabled us to continue with what was said about the old Betania Hospital being ‘a powerhouse of divine mercy, hope and charity’, quoted by Dean J E Hallendorff in his closing address of the hospital,” said Melusi’s Pastor, Peter Hambidge.
It was then, and is now, through the sacrifice and unselfish love of volunteers that many lives are being rebuilt and restored as the gospel is proclaimed, the poor are cared for, the hungry are fed and countless prayers are offered for the sick and dying.
“We are ever grateful to the missionaries who have gone before us and left an incredible legacy. May God help us to be faithful to this high calling.
“We thank God for all who through the years have contributed with various donations to the work of Melusi (formerly Mahyeno). These gifts have been abundantly blessed, and God, who sees and knows all things, will add His blessing to each one accordingly.
“We extend a warm invitation to all who would care to join us as we celebrate the opening of this wonderful facility,” said Pastor Hambidge.
