Looking for good homes
There are many dogs and cats in dire need of loving families
Orphan’s Corner
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) has many animals that are in desperate need of good homes. There are currently two litters of kittens and two litters of puppies. There are also many adult dogs and cats in dire need of loving families.
Jessie is a female Chihuahua cross with a huge heart and lots of love to give. Milo is a male Staffordshire cross who would love to go for walks and play with a ball. Diesel is a Great Dane cross hunting dog who will look after the whole family. Spike is a male Boerboel who would be a great guard dog but does not do well with children, as he was abused and chained up by his previous owners. Please visit the kennels to see these loving pets and pick the right one for you.
The league has picked up a female Poodle cross in Centenary Road and a female German Shepherd in Jan Smuts Avenue. Please collect these animals if they belong to you.
The AACL would like to remind the public that it is a crime to chain up a dog. If your animal absolutely has to be chained, it has to be a running chain or else you will be fined.
With the recent rains, the kennels have turned into a swampland. The field is flooded and there is a lot of mud and mess. This happens every time it rains and the kennels are looking for a kind-hearted member of the public to donate some gravel stones for outside the office. Please contact the league on 076-151-1784 if you are interested in helping with this worthy cause.
Thanks this week go to Spar, TFS, Pie City and Pierre Massyn for their kind donations.
