When voting, it is important to remember that there are certain rules that have to be followed to ensure that all South Africans get the chance to make their votes count.

At election time it is very important to remember that your rights end where another persons’ rights start. Respect each other’s rights by supporting all parties to campaign freely. Do not remove or destroy any other party’s property, posters or pamphlets.

You do not have to agree with them, but you need to respect others who do.

Any violence around the voting stations, whether about elections or not, will not be tolerated. The safety of the voters will be paramount on May 7.

On voting day, remember that this day is set aside for you, the voter, to make a difference. Your vote will have an impact.
