What will the ANC do for Ladysmith?

ANC Ukhahlamba Regional Secretary Maphitha Sithole was asked what would the ANC do for Ladysmith if it remained in power

ANC Ukhahlamba Regional Secretary Maphitha Sithole was asked “If the ANC remains in power, what can it do for the people of Ladysmith, and Ladysmith as a town?” Here is his response:

Thank you for showing interest in what the ANC stands to do after obtaining a resounding victory in the May 7, 2014, general elections.

Firstly, let us explain that these are National and Provincial elections. The people of this country will continue to display their trust in the ruling party and also give overwhelming support in the upcoming general elections. The ANC will continue to fast-track the implementation of and improve on what it has started as its 5 priorities: a) Education, b) Health, c) Rural Development, d) Creation of decent work and sustainable livelihood, and e) Crime.

The ANC Manifesto is emphatic on the importance of clean governance, particularly in Local Government, that will be achieved through employing skilled and competent workers who will ensure that service delivery is sped up. Ladysmith is no exception. As part of South Africa, it will benefit through the National Development Plan (NDP).
