On Tuesday, March 20 St Gregory Primary learners were treated to an educational day with the Umtshezi Fire Department.
Members of the fire department arrived with their fire engine and all the equipment ready to demonstrate a typical day of a fireman, much to the excitement and curiosity of the learners. Some of the learners were given the opportunity to wear the protective gear and use the equipment while the fire department explained how it is used and what it does.
The school would like to thank Alfred and his team from the Umtshezi Fire Department for taking the time to come to the school and presenting such an educational talk.
It is a day the learners will not forget.
