Coal truck saga in Smith Street

Coal trucks in the CBD have long since been a source of debate but now business owners have had enough.

Once again coal trucks in the CBD have become a source of irritation for business owners.

The coal trucks have been designated to use Wilson Street through town to get to the washing plant, a decision that has angered many business owners on Wilson Street. Some truck drivers though haven’t stuck to the designated route though and can be seen using many of the streets in the CBD.

Earlier today  some of the trucks could be seen in Smith Street. Business owners have complained of the damage done to the road, the dust left behind and the inconsideration of the drivers.

They’ve threatened to take matters into their own hands if nothing is done about the matter.
