Ferrum took part in the Emalahleni English Orators Competition, which took place on May 24.
Altogether 18 participants were entered and Ferrum is proud to announce that the school won Best Speaker in each of the age groups.
Congratulations to the following:
Grade 8 and 9: Zanele Dlamini, Tagan Marnitz, Fourth place – Sinenhlanhla Madzhie, third place – Zama Buthelezi, second place – Zario van Dillen and first place – Jessie Ho.
Grade 10: Fourth place – Thando Chabeli, second place – Sphamandla Khumalo and first place – Slindokuhle Msane.
Grade 11 and 12: Mulisa Nepile, Mathonsi Sphelele, Iries Balcorta, Londiwe Hlatswayo, Silindokuhle Ngcebo, Penrose Mlotshwa, fourth place – Thabo Skosana and first place -Mandlakhe Msimango. He also shared the trophy with a participant from Dundee for Best Orator of the Day.
