Nightingale Street woes sees road disintigrate

“Motorists travelling in opposite directions have to stop and wait for each other to pass, as there isn’t enough road surface left to drive simultaneously,” he exclaimed.
Illegal dumping also contribute to Mr Hurrisunker’s woes.
“People dump their rubbish during the night and I can’t go outside and check who it is to stop them, because you don’t know if they will shoot,” he said.
Apart from construction rubble, other odds and ends were also discarded alongside the road.
“The other day I had to pick up beer bottles that had been left on the pavement,” he grumbled.
The municipality’s Communication Department was contacted regarding the matter, but no comment was forthcoming at the time of going to print.
