ON June 27, Pompino Day Care Centre had a brand new gate installed at their premises in Afrikaner Street.
The previous gate served its purpose well for many years, but many of the parents felt that a more secure gate would be more fitting for a day care facility of this nature and therefore went about raising the necessary funding for the project.
The new gate offers more security to the children on the premises in the care of Susanna Labuschagne and her team.
“Ons wil graag baie dankie sê aan Michelle en Abrie Landman en al die ouers wat hierdie nuwe hek ‘n moontlikheid gemaak het,” says Susanna Labuschagne, dedicated owner of the day care centre, a ‘daymother‘ and caregiver who has been in the business of child care for many years and prides herself on the close relationships and bonds she develops with each individual child over the years.
The added security gives the children the freedom to play and learn each day, safe in the knowledge that, thanks to the team of parents who contributed financially, and the watchful eye of ‘Oom Jan en Tannie ‘San,’ they won’t have to worry about any untoward characters spoiling their fun.
