The Ntokozweni Developers sponsored Monthly Mug was played on Saturday afternoon and competition was very strong for this monthly medal event, with the winning scores being ‘in the red figures’ under par.
The ‘A’ Division Mug was won by Enrico Bozza with an excellent 68 net, followed by Phillip Boardman with 73 net. Phillip carded the ‘Best Gross’ score, but handicaps come into effect to determine the ‘Net’ score. The ‘B’ Division Mug was won by Aurette Boardman with 69 net on a count-out from Chris Nel. Individual Stableford winner was DP ‘Chonny’ Singh with 38 points, followed by Murray Hume with 37 points. ‘Sucker of the Month’, or the ‘Longest Walk’ prize winner, was Steve Dixon. ‘Nearest the Pin’ winners were Enrico Bozza, Vernon Sanders, Leon Petersen and Marcel Meyer. Phillip Boardman was the ‘Longest Drive’ winner, with Hennie Muller, Vernon Sanders and Noel Hoffman carding two-clubs.
