Celebrating Nelson Mandela’s birthday is an important way for South Africans and people around the world to acknowledge and promote the values he stood for.

As South Africans, it is important we portray Mandela’s story to the best of our ability and incorporate his ideals into all aspects of our lives.

Pam Golding, with support from the New Active Gym, Playball Newcastle and Posh Parties hosted a special birthday party in honour of Nelson Mandela at eLollypop Crechè at oSizweni.

The 200 children at the crechè were treated to a morning of games, treats and a special visit from Miss Newcastle, Amy Bushell.

Khulisa Social Solutions, a stakeholder at the crechè, would like to thank the Newcastle community for understanding the importance of standing together and making small contributions that make a big difference.
