March against Israel’s brutality in Gaza

“We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians” - Nelson Mandela

While we go about our daily lives in Ladysmith (be it work, school or play), sirens scream out warnings as Israeli fighter jets drop bombs and destroy entire blocks of flats. Mobile artillery pound civilian enclaves, and tanks and troops have moved in on the ground…

This is not a so-called “War on Terror”, but a fight for survival as thousands of Palestinians face extinction.

Concerned Ladysmith residents will be marching on Saturday against Israeli oppression and brutal subjugation.

The march starts at 10am  and will proceed down Murchison Street to the Town Hall. They will present a memorandum to Ladysmith Mayor Vincent Madlala. Thereafter, residents will picket at the Town Hall until 2pm.

Date: Saturday, 26 July, 2014
Time: 9.30 for 10:00
Venue: Upper Murchison Street (opposite Tars Tyres)
Plan: March to Town Hall, 12:00 memorandum to be handed to Emnambithi Mayor Cllr MV Madlala.
Thereafter, there will be a picket at the Town Hall until 2pm
As Mandela Month draws to a close, we echo his words and share in his sentiment:
“We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians”
