Dancing on a winter’s night at the Moth Club
For the Winter Ball, they invited local band Magic Rhythm to perform.
The Siegetown Moths held a Winter Ball at the Moth Hall on Saturday evening.
According to Old Bill Frik van der Merwe, the purpose of the ball was to launch their new-look Bosbar. “We are looking to expand the experience at Siegetown and we want to offer people in Ladysmith something to do.
We want to have more functions and create a pleasant atmosphere where people can enjoy themselves.” Frik is also very excited about their courtesy cars. “We now have two courtesy cars available, which means people can enjoy themselves without having to worry about breaking the law. We will get them home safely.”
For the Winter Ball, they invited local band Magic Rhythm to perform.
There was good support for the evening and as usual, the Moth ladies (and Bob) did a fantastic job preparing the meals. For starters, they prepared several soups, while the main courses were two different spice curries.
Tannie Hester Botha made sure there was something sweet after the meal.
The event was a great success and Old Bill Frik would like to thank all the Moths and Moth friends who helped to arrange the event and make it possible. Most of all, he thanks everyone who came to support the Winter Ball. Lastly, a special thanks to Moth Mike Williams for all the help and support he has given the Siegetown Moths. “Your help is truly appreciated!”
