Burst pipe repaired, water back on

uThukela workers burned the midnight oil to fix the burst pipe

Water is back on throughout town. This after uThukela  issued a warning to all residents yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) of a major outage in most areas of Ladysmith. A main pipe had burst, which feeds Ladysmith with water.

Many areas in Ladysmith were without water till this morning (Thursday).

uThukela workers burned the midnight oil to fix the pipe and when residents woke up this morning, their taps were no longer dry.

“We are so grateful to have our water back,” said one resident.
