Warning of possible electricity interruptions

While this is only a precautionary warning, residents are advised to take measures to secure their businesses or homes and reduce their electricity consumption during these days

Residents and businesspeople are advised that there may be an electricity interruption from August 9 to August 17 from 8am until 6pm.
While this is only a precautionary warning, residents are advised to take measures to secure their businesses or homes and reduce their electricity consumption during these days.
During this time the municipality’s electrical department will be carrying out major work at Umtshezi’s main substations.
This will involve the 33 000 volt lines being isolated.
“Whilst all measures will be taken to ensure electricity supply during these times, residents should consider that should a fault occur, the electricity can possibly go off without notification,” commented Municipal Manager Nonhlanhla Njoko.
