Technicians scramble to restore power

It is believed power could be restored to the affected areas earlier than expected.

A massive power outage occurred shortly after 9pm tonight.

Multiple areas have been affected, and electrical technicians are scrambling to find the problem, which is believed to be a collapsed power line.

According to Lindile Zincume, Director of Technical Services Electrical, power could possibly be returned to the affected areas earlier than expected.

Mr Zincume and his team are currently working on restoring power;
while one part of the team is searching for the fault, more technicians are trying to split power delivered to the Signal Hill substation to the affected areas.

“This may return power to some areas, while we work on resolving the matter,” said Mr Zincume
