Maybe the next Lucas Radebe and Doctor Khumalo could be found in Glencoe Primary...
It is every young player’s dream to be part of a bigger soccer brand, and with the Amazulu FC scouting for rare and exceptional talent that dream seemed nearer. Maybe the next Lucas Radebe and Doctor Khumalo could be found in Glencoe Primary…
They went, they played, and they conquered!
The boys went with Mr van Rooyen and Mr Swanepoel to Richards’s Bay to participate in the Zululand Build-It Soccer Tournament. All matches were refereed by SAFA referees.
Last year the school managed second place, but this year with pure grit the boys played their hearts out. There were 16 schools that participated and Glencoe Primary managed to be crowned as tournament champions!
Anele Sangweni was awarded Man of the Match in the final of the tournament. Lwazi Dlame was awarded the Most Improved Player in the tournament, and Glencoe Primary was awarded champions of the Zululand Build-It Soccer Festival.Â
The boys won lots of prizes, including new soccer kits and bags, and also R10 000 worth of building material from Build-It. We are indeed very proud of the boys. Thank you to Mr Sandile Magubane who as coach has done very well with his team.
