Falcons and Eagles soar at Uelzen

Pupils may celebrate Spring by wearing civvies on Friday.

The Grade 7 pupils are currently studying matters related to running a business in EMS.

All entrepreneurial skills are being looked at and will have to be practically demonstrated. It has thus been decided that the Grade 7s will hold an Entrepreneurs’ Day on Friday, August 29. Market stalls will be set up between the two breaks, and all other pupils will have the opportunity to buy different products ranging from eats to hand-made goodies.

The school hopes that everyone will support this Grade 7 venture. Pupils may celebrate Spring by wearing civvies on Friday.

Uelzen Interhouse Athletics

In spite of an icy wind to start the day, Uelzen Primary hosted a very successful interhouse athletics meeting at school last Friday. Several records were broken, particularly in the hurdle events, and we saw many pupils achieve their personal bests, in field events held the day before and on the track. The trophy winners are as follows:

Ian de Jager Trophy for the Highest Achiever in Field Events: Stefan Thom. Botha Girls’ Trophy for the Highest Achiever in Track Events: Angelique Nero and Jonathon Cumming. Junior Victrix Ludorum: Lwandle Dubazana. Junior Victor Ludorum: Danilo Ceronio. Senior Victrix Ludorum: Gabby Carter. Senior Victor Ludorum: Stefan Thom. Relay Cup: Eagles. Spirit Cup: Eagles. Winning House: Falcons.
