The Islamic Educational Centre (IEC) held its annual Food Fair on Saturday at the school grounds.
It was an entertaining affair with a buzzing atmosphere, as crowds of people enjoyed what was on offer. The fair started early in the morning and continued into the evening. There were a variety of food stalls, each organised by dedicated learners and their parents.
The stalls sold everything from hot chips to corn and steak stir-fry. In addition to this, there were other stalls selling a range of jewellery, scarves and clothes.
There was also a ‘table dressing’ competition in the tea garden section of the fair. The theme of each table was different, and the participants ensured that their table looked fabulous with a matching theme and accessories.
The weather played its part and it was fun for the entire family, with children bobbing up and down in the jumping castles or having their faces painted on a warm, sunny day.
