On Wednesday, September 10 the St Gregory Primary grade three learners went to a local dairy farm for their excursion. Learners had the opportunity to see some sheep, a pig, a peacock and cattle, while later taking a walk down to the stream where they had their lunch and spent time playing in the water.

After hours of fun in the stream, it was time to head back and feed the calves. Not long after the calves had been fed it was milking time, so off we went to the dairy where the learners were shown how the dairy works and how cows are milked, and even got treated to some fresh milk to drink. The learners thoroughly enjoyed themselves and would like to say a big thank you to Mr M Schiever for allowing them to experience and learn a bit more about farming.
