An educational excursion to Eskom

On Monday, September 15, Grade 7 pupils from Newcastle Senior Primary School visited Eskom Ingula Pump Storage Scheme near Besters.

Pupils were given an informative PowerPoint presentation by Ms Fifi Conradie. Bright sparks, Tanvir and Sithabile each won an Eskom calculator ruler in the quiz.

The pupils were given a site tour of the dams. They were later taken to a viewpoint of the construction site. Although the pupils were disappointed when the day came to an end, it was nonetheless an educational and enjoyable day for all.

The school thanked Mr Spies, Mr Delport and Mrs Jordaan for accompanying the pupils on the excursion.
