Supporting Palestine on a rainy day in Weenen
The gloomy and rainy weather could do little to dampen the bright spirits of stall holders and fair-goers alike

The Weenen Show Grounds played host to an eventful Family Fun Day in support of Palestine on Sunday. The gloomy and rainy weather could do little to dampen the bright spirits of stall holders and fair-goers alike.
There were food, clothing and accessory stalls aplenty at the fair, with all proceeds going to aid the Palestinian plight. Those who turned up were kept entertained by various contests, such as an orange peeling contest and the fastest parent piggybacking their toddler.
The contestants were enthusiastically cheered on by their family members in the audience and the winners of the various competitions were rewarded for their efforts.
There was something for everyone to enjoy, with the young ones cavorting around on the jumping castle. It was a fun-filled day, and the perfect way to relax and socialise on a chilly Sunday.
