Glencoe Primary’s School’s foundation sports day took place on October 1. The three grades wore specific coloured T-shirts. Grade 1 wore yellow, Grade 2 wore green and Grade 3 wore red shirts.
A variety of events took place, such as the egg-and-spoon race, sack races, skipping, hoola-hoops and bean bags. Some of the children’s skills were really tested, but each and every child participated with enthusiasm and gave of his/her best.
The event was enjoyable despite a cold wind which was blowing. The last event of the day was the flat races, where children ran against each other. Many athletes were identified, which will be good for the senior phase…
