This year DHS Helping Hands worked really hard within a short space of time.
They raised funds in two days through cake sales. On November 11, they visited the Othandweni Créche in Sibongile township. Mrs Odendaal, Mrs Madondo and a few of the Helping Hands school girls spent time with the little ones.
The girls handed out Christmas gifts. Ms Phiwo Dlamini, the founder, could not stop smiling when she saw the DHS learners and teachers arrive.
There was also a parent representative present who really appreciated what DHS had done for the crèche and she was grateful for the love and care that the young DHS school girls showed their children. Though time was limited, their mission was accomplished. DHS thanks Mrs Boshoff, Mrs Odendaal, Mrs Kotze and Mrs Madondo. Thank you as well to all the learners who assisted during the cake sale which helped make the day a success. Helping Hands’ reward for their hard work was to see these youngsters with huge smiles on their faces!
Condolences
The staff at Dundee High would like to extend their sincere condolences to the Aku family after their tragic loss this past weekend. Aaquelah and her family will be in our thoughts and prayers. It is in difficult times like these that we need to draw ever closer together in a spirit of love and support.
