Power outages may go on to just before Christmas

You could be in for cold turkey...

According to the Eskom website, load shedding will continue to just before Christmas;

Dundee had three outages on Friday, Saturday and on Sunday.  Glencoe was not affected.

According to the Eskom schedules Dundee’s power will be off today, Monday, from 4pm to 6.30pm, Wednesday from 6am to 8.30am and on Friday between midday to 2.30pm.

This weekend appears to be clear:  but the next three Saturdays are not too bright:  the power is due to go off every Saturday, until December 20, from 4pm to 6.30pm

Glencoe is scheduled to be powerless on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8.30pm, Thursday from 8am to 10.30am and every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Hopefully, your favourite sports teams will not be playing during blackouts! However, Eskom’s situation appears to be very fluid and at this stage the only advice one can give is buy candles and matches, keep your batteries charged and if you can, invest in a generator!
