Saturday, November 22 will always be remembered by parents as they witnessed the graduation of 61 pre- school learners of ML Sultan Estcourt Preschool. Each learner was immaculately dressed in formal wear, a tailor made graduation gown and a cap. This was made possible by Mrs FH Makhathini who stitched each gown for this important event.
Ms Peersaib and Ms Ngcobo led the procession and received a bouquet from the learners. After the procession, Mrs Osman, Deputy Principal welcomed the parents to the 16th graduation ceremony. The Principal, Mr DH Zuma introduced the guest speaker Mrs S Swanepoel. In her inspiring talk, Mrs Swanepoel emphasised to learners the importance of the letter R as in reading and respect.
To the parents, Ms Swanepoel addressed the importance of being a good role model, respect and finding time to read to the learners. The highlight of the function was the presentation of trophies to each learner. The educators closed the function with a vote of thanks.
Our heartfelt gratitude to Mr and Mrs Khadim Karrim for the delicious lunch and Mr Cyril Moodley for the sound. A special thank you to our guest speaker Mrs Swanepoel for her interesting talk. Special thanks to Mrs Makhathini for stitching the gowns and hoods. Our heartfelt appreciation to our educators and parents for making the function a success.
