We are members of the National Council of SPCAs South Africa (NSPCA). Our SPCA covers a vast area and looks out for the interests of domestic, farm, working and traction animals, animals reared for consumption, wildlife, animals used for entertainment and exhibitions, as well as animals used in sport and for research. We don’t turn any animal away. No matter what the breed, condition, age or reason for animals being brought to the SPCA, we’re here for them, day and night, and we’re on call 24/7 to respond to rescues and emergencies involving animals.

Stray animals brought to the SPCA, unless extremely sick or severely injured, are kept for a period of seven days to allow their owners to claim them. After this period, they are assessed according to their age, temperament and health at which point they will be put up for adoption.

Every dog and cat offered for adoption has been thoroughly examined at our clinic, dewormed and innoculated. Visit our kennels and cattery to find a pet that is just right for you! All pets have to be sterilised before being allowed home with you. If you are adopting a very young puppy or kitten, you will need to commit to bringing the animal back to be sterilised when it is older. Our adoption fees include health check, sterilisation, de-worming and first set of innoculations.
