St Oswald’s Secondary School held their annual awards ceremony on January 30 at the Newcastle Town Hall.
Pupils who excelled academically in 2014 and 2015 were rewarded for their hard work and dedication.
The guest of honour for the night was Chief Education Specialist in the Newcastle district, Mr Khumalo.
Although many successes were achieved, the spotlight was on 2014 head girl, Bonisile Ndlovu, who took home the Dux trophy as well as the Good Fellowship award. She also received numerous subject prizes.
Rising star, Bongiwe Dlamini, scooped the awards, winning all the Grade 8 subject prizes.
A special thanks to Mr Khumalo for taking time out of his day to address the pupils.
