Michaelis Schule – Pupils take to the water with pride
It was a beautiful and sunny day, the perfect day to be plunging into cool waters. Every child had a turn to show their team members, as well as the opposing team, what they were made of! As the teams chanted and cheered “Go Ente! Go Pelikan!” on the stands, the swimmers gave it their all in the water. But this was a contest after all, and as all contests go, there had to be a winner in the end.
On Saturday, February 21, Michaelis Schule held their annual Gala.
The excited children arrived sporting their little bit of yellow or blue by means of a ribbon, face paint or some form of paraphernalia, because in one way or the other, their loyalty and support just had to be shown!

This year Ente not only held up the winning trophy with pride, but also the much sought after Spirit Trophy! Congratulations to the winning team, but also to every swimmer, big or small, that conquered their fears and completed their race.
We would also like to congratulate our four trophy winners on their fantastic efforts. Danika Vyncke and Keegan Gevers took the Junior Victrix and Victor Ludorum trophies. Ivan Tschirpig our Senior Victor Ludorum and Leah Vonkeman, who broke the only record on the day and needless to say, also became our Senior Victrix Ludorum for 2015.
Well done, you have all done us proud!
