Sarel shines at district athletics meeting

This past weekend 19 athletes from Sarel Cilliers competed as part of the Endumeni Team at the Umzinyathi District Athletics event.
While they are still awaiting the final results to tell them which athletes have been selected to represent the district at the provincial athletics in Durban on March 13-15, the school is really proud of their performance. The team consisted of Lesedi Khumalo, Tsepiso Mthembu, Nikita Ramdayal, Liezel Viljoen, Nothando Conco, Lindokuhle Dlamini, Franci-Mari Gregory, Arnold Madawaenda, Christo Maré, Duane Ramdayal, Naledi Ndala, Dineo Sithole, Ntokozo Zulu, Nontokozo Mabaso, Thandokuhle Mazibuko, Nomfundo Mbongwa, Phambili Mnyandu, Hardus van Eeden and Pieter Viljoen.
Sarels’ athletes’ team initially had 34 pupils participating at the Endumeni Circuit Athletics event on February 22 at Kallies Stadium. The pupils show-cased their amazing talent, attitude and enthusiasm. They were always cheerful and when officials needed an extra hand, the Sarel athletes were more than willing to assist.
