Top Gear Live – cancelled in Durban
The Durban show has been cancelled. Will the Top Gear Festival drive into Johannesburg instead?
The Top Gear Festival will not take place in Durban this year.
Despite fans hoping the event would take place in June, as originally planned, it was confirmed organisers were looking for an alternative location for the annual event.
“South Africa has always been one of our favourite destinations on the tour. We have a particular fondness for the crowds we entertain here, as they are always so loud and enthusiastic and return year after year to support us,” said James Cooke-Priest, Chief Operations Officer of Top Gear Live.
While thrilled with the support the event had received, Mr Cooke-Priest explained steps to stage an alternative Top Gear Live event in Johannesburg were being taken and the plans would be announced.
Any fans who bought vouchers to attend the event have been contacted regarding their orders and offered alternatives.
Updates regarding the alternative Top Gear Live event will be released in coming weeks.
