Vryheid High School – Successful Eshowe sports festival
Mr S Moolman was included in the KZN Bowls team and participated in an interprovincial tournament in Pretoria last week. There were 16 provincial teams playing. They achieved a fourth place in their division and a sixth place overall. Well done, Mr Moolman and team.
THE first teams of hockey and rugby participated in the Eshowe Sport Festival this past weekend and did very well.
The first team rugby played five matches and were unbeaten. In the finals they beat their hosts, Eshowe 40 – 0. Well done boys!
The first hockey boys’ team played six matches. They won three and drew three. In the final round they beat Felixton 1 – 0. Congratulations, boys! Obviously this team is improving by the match!
The first hockey girls’ team played eight games. They won four and drew four. In the finals they lost 0 – 1 to Port Shepstone in a very even match.
Van ons leerlinge het aan die Natal Atletiek Kampioenskap deelgeneem: G Smit behaal ‘n tweede plek in die o/19 110m hekkies en ‘n vierde plek in die 200m. M Niebuhr behaal ‘n eerste plek in die o/15 hoogspring. Afhangende van hul tyd en posisies is daar ‘n moontlikheid dat hierdie atlete binnekort aan die SA Kampioenskap sal deelneem. Baie geluk!
