Guiding South African ambassador Ntombenhle Mbongwe attended training in London last year where she worked with Wagggs and Dove for the Free Being Me project, which aims to empower young people to recognise the global beauty pressures and image myths.

Ntombenhle empowered Girl Guides to not feel pressure to change their appearance in order to fit in with society’s narrow minded image of beauty, which is presented in the media because technology like air brushing push unrealistic beauty ideals.

The Girl Guides were positively motivated and wrote messages on how they feel about themselves.
