Hard work and dedication shown by the Estcourt Detective’s team resulted in two male suspects aged 28 and 30 being arrested for the theft of Transnet machinery.

On March 13, the two bold males made off with machinery from Transnet after they had held the security staff at gunpoint during the robbery. A case of armed robbery was opened and the case has been under investigation by the Estcourt Detectives.

The Cluster Commander Brigadier Reynders as well as the Station Commander Colonel Kheswa have commended members for their successful apprehension of both suspects.

The suspects have appeared before the Estcourt Magistrates Court last Tuesday, April 7.
