Cebisile Happiness Khoza, a cousin of world-renowned comedian Trevor Noah, has been brutally killed.

The murder happened in Greytown after the 24-year-old teacher left her home in Msinga (an area near Ladysmith) to prepare for her graduation ceremony. She went to a salon to have her hair and nails done, and then disappeared.

The next day, farm workers came across her body in a sugarcane plantation near Greytown. The body was badly burned and she had been stabbed several times.

The funeral was held in a village near Wasbank yesterday (Saturday).

This is the 4th tragedy to strike the Noah family. 1 family member died due to poisoning, another was beaten to death by attackers, and Trevor Noah’s mother narrowly escaped death 6 years ago after being shot three times by her former husband.

Grandmother Nomalizo Noah believes the family is cursed after this latest shocking and tragic incident to befall the Noah clan.

Trevor Noah has been selected as the host of The Daily Show to replace Jon Stewart.

The Daily Show is one of the most watched shows on US TV channel Comedy Central.
