School shooting accused expected in Court
The driver, the gunman and another man were arrested shortly afterwards by police.
Three men implicated in the horror Luvisi School shooting in Nquthu are expected to appear in the Nquthu Magistrate’s Court.
A gunman fired three shots at Vusi Ntombela, Speaker of the Nquthu Council, while he was teaching his Grade 6 class on Tuesday morning.
One bullet struck 12-year-old Elizabeth Nhleko in the chest. She later died in hospital. Another pupil, Bongumusa Cele (12) is seriously injured and is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Police said 47-year-old Mr Ntombela was stuck in the head, chest and chin. The gunman fled to a waiting car. The driver, the gunman and another man were arrested shortly afterwards by police.
Unconfirmed reports said one of the accused is a bodyguard for a local politician.
