BREAKING NEWS: Mayor of Utrecht passes away
Mayor Joe Zikhali sadly passed away en route to Niemeyer Hospital earlier today.
Sources have confirmed Emadlangeni Mayor, Joe Zikhali, passed away earlier today.
Cllr Zikhali was apparently attending the funeral of a friend this morning, and collapsed. He died en route to Niemeyer Hospital in Utrecht.
Sources say the cause of death has yet to be determined.
A resident said: “It’s a shock to the community..my parents own a store and we just saw him yesterday..and my cousin saw him in town today around 10..and he looked perfectly fine.but then this happens”
A funeral date will be released at a later stage, as journalists engage with the community and family.
