She’s not just a pretty face

With a year's of community service on the cards for the teen, Ashley-Rose plans to team up with organisations across Newcastle to help lighten the burden.

She embodies the catchphrase, beauty with a purpose.

Miss Newcastle 2015, Ashley-Rose Viljoen visited the Samaritan House Pregnancy Crisis Centre on June 20.

The beauty queen spent the day getting to know the women who rely on the centre to survive.

The Keene family, who are exceptionally close to Ashley-Rose, were gracious enough to donate much-needed items to the centre.

“I’m thrilled to see the crisis centre is providing women with an alternative to abortion,” she said. “I’m impressed by how caring they are and how homely it is.”

With a year’s of community service on the cards for the teen, Ashley-Rose plans to team up with organisations across Newcastle to help lighten the burden.

“I’d love to team up with Liz Botha and help collect donations so they may continue their amazing work,” she concluded.

There is no doubt the starry-eyed girl next door helps make the world a better place.

If you would like to get involved or make a donation, contact Liz Botha on 034 326 4680.
