Fun for all at family spin day

The roaring of powerful engines emanating from huge exhaust pipes filled the afternoon air.

Kustom Carz held a family spin day on Saturday afternoon in Burger Street, bringing rubber burning action to Ladysmith.
Spinners from near and far were there to entertain the local crowd. Coming from the Free State, Pietermaritzburg, Dundee (360 Boyz), Newcastle, Estcourt and Ladymith,  to name but a few areas, they showed they have what it takes when it comes to revving it up and doing daredevil stunts.

The roaring of powerful engines emanating from huge exhaust pipes filled the afternoon air. Tyres “popped” to whoops of delight from the crowd.

Motoring enthusiasts from all around Ladysmith and even out of town turned up to show their support and enjoy the entertainment on offer. Even the rainy weather couldn’t dampen the red-hot racing as cars “spun’ and burned up the tarmac.

Delicious food kept the hunger pangs at bay and Ladysmith DJs kept the toes tapping with upbeat music when the spinners took a break to change tyres (which was done by Supa Quick). The day was one for the entire family to come out and enjoy a sport that always gets people talking and the adrenaline pumping. All who attended had the feeling that they also wanted to get into one of the cars and spin those tyres!

Spinners from Ladysmith showed that there’s oodles of talent right here in town, and were well supported. The spinners are thankful to the organisers for their support.
