Another Night Market took place on Friday evening at the Old Mill in Queen Street.
The street was abuzz with activity as stall-holders set up their wares in anticipation of making some good sales when the sun went down.
The turnout could have been better, but the trickle of market-goers who arrived to do some nighttime shopping picked up some great bargains. Half the thrill of these evening markets is drifting from stall to stall and browsing through the articles on offer in the hopes that something interesting will catch your eye.
The strong aroma of brewing coffee, as well as chicken curry and rice, filled the air and enticed the shoppers to chase away the winter blues with a caffeine fix and a hearty, hot meal. For those with a sweet tooth, there were tantalising pancakes on sale, which made for a nice little dessert after the filling curry. The sugary pancakes were a definite highlight among the young ones.
From great food to amazing toys for the little ones, the Night Market had it all, proving that you’re never too young or too old to feel the excitement of a Friday night out doing some shopping under the streetlights.
