Police divers are en-route to the Drakensberg Sun Hotel to search a lake for missing Ladysmith dentist Dr MQ Khan.

Dr Khan is believed to have drowned in a boating accident this afternoon.

Drakensberg Sun management have confirmed that a patron at the hotel is missing and presumed drowned. They have extended their condolences to the family and referred all further inquiries to the SAPS.

A person close to the family has confirmed that Dr Khan went missing after the rowing boat he was in capsized.
