Horse riding to go ahead on August 29

This time around, no parties - just horse racing - the budgets have been blown, say organisers

The postponed Dundee July Horse Racing event is to go ahead on August 29 – all being well.

At a meeting last week it was decided to hold the event just after a month after it was cancelled due to heavy rain.

However, the parties went on much to the irritation of residents living near the Oval stadium at near the airfield.

This time it is understood that the day will only include horse racing with no fashion events. Residents, however, have already contacted the Courier, fearing the worse and have threatened legal action should the day include more wild parties where several crimes – including the chopping off of a man’s hand – occurred.
