Golfers go mining for grand prizes

League Players had the courtesy of course on Sunday and thank you too all who participated, B2 Dundee beat Vryheid 12/6 and Frog Side drew against Vryheid 2 all.

The Country Club’s Golf Chicken Run, on August 12, was won by Dan Scholtz on 20 points.
On Friday, the Dundee Country Club hosted and sponsored the first Coal Mining Golf Day. It was well supported by local and national businesses.

Thank you to all sponsors, participants, organisers, staff of DCC and spectators.
The winners, on 98 points, were The Pump Smith team, followed by Sandvik on 95 points while thrid  Amadambi on a count out from Rob Streak’s team on 91 points. Novelties went to Johnathan Rabe on No4 and Johan Hugo on 8.

A huge thank you to the Dundee Round Tablers for hosting their Prawn and Steak Evening at the DCC on Saturday– here’s hoping it was a huge success as it was well supported.  See next week’s Courier for photos of this event.

The Chicken Run, will be played on August 19, over nine holes – IPS Format.  On Friday, a nine-hole meat competition will be hosted while Saturday sees an 18-hole Individual Bonus Bogey.
