The bus and the trailer of the truck at the point of impact following a failed attempt to squeeze past the truck by the bus driver.

SUNDAY night, August 23, saw Kwazulu Private Ambulance and other emergency services from Vryheid respond to a collision between a truck and bus on Stretch Crescent.

The driver of the bus was trapped after the collision.

It is alleged that the bus driver tried to squeeze his way past the rear of the trailer, resulting in the subsequent collision. The driver of the bus was trapped in the driving compartment by logs from the truck, but was lucky to escape uninjured.
