Clivia show to flourish with colour

Avid plant lovers are in for a treat come September 5.

The Newcastle Clivia Interest Group will be hosting the annual Clivia Show at Drakensberg Primary School.

The event will kick off at 9am, ending at 2pm.

On the day, clivia enthusiasts will be able to display their favourite clivia plants, which will then be judged.

With a variety of colours of Clivia Miniata to view, there will also be an opportunity to interact with breeders to acquire knowledge on the plants, as well as being able to mingle with like-minded clivia enthusiasts.

A Mr and Miss Clivia Junior will also be chosen on the day,and there will be a creative colouring in competition for pre-schoolers and primary school pupils.

A lucky draw will take place on the day, where the lucky winner stands a chance on winning a clivia plant.
