Newcastle Hindu Women’s Forum hosted a dinner and dance at Phumula Nathi Motel last Saturday evening.
Anitha Lallie from the forum, explained the purpose of the event was to empower women, while raising funds for community based projects.
Pramod Sonne was the guest speaker at the event.
He hails from Johannesburg and is a business consultant involved with the Art of Living Foundation that focuses on holistic ways of energising body and mind through programmes such as yoga.
“As a management consultant, I focus a lot on problem solving and I understand how to work with people. One of the most important aspects when working with others is relations, so my talk is focused on relationships, as well the evolution of women and their role in society.”
Combining the best of Eastern and Western cultures, Mr Sonne discussed ways women could foster meaningful relationships.
