Update: Missing Estcourt man found

Joash’s attorney, confirmed that Joash handed himself over to the Ladysmith police on Sunday, August 30

Joash ‘Joey’ Muthumarie, who went missing on the evening of August 25, was found on Sunday, August 30.

The 23-year-old was last seen going to purchase a packet of cigarettes in a white Colt van and never returned home.

His family grew concerned and reported him missing to the Estcourt police.
They also sent out Facebook posts urging the community to contact they if they saw Joash.

On Sunday the white Colt van was recovered near Blurock Quarry in Estcourt. Joash’s attorney, confirmed that Joash handed himself over to the Ladysmith police on Sunday, August 30.

His brother Ricardo also confirmed that Joash was located and had no further comments.

Today, September 1, Joash will appear before the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court and it is currently unknown what charges he faces.
