2-year-old killed in crash
The toddler sustained major injuries and died at the scene
A 2-year-old baby was killed in a motor vehicle accident this afternoon (Friday) along the Besters road.
It is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Quantum lost control and rolled off the road.
2 other people were injured in the crash: the driver, as well as the toddler’s mother, who is pregnant. The latter was seriously injured. They were treated by Sharaj Ambulance Services and EMRS, and then transported to hospital for further treatment.
The toddler sustained major injuries and died at the scene.
The Quantum was travelling from Ladysmith towards Ingula when the accident happened.
Besters police responded to the scene and traffic passed with caution, as the vehicle rolled off the roadway and into a farmer’s property.
